The chain of command is the way in which military organizations are set up. In Civil Air Patrol, the chain moves upwards from the basic cadet through the cadet chain of command in a squadron, through the senior members, to the wing level, which oversees all the squadrons in a state, to region, which oversees several wings, to national, which oversees all of the regions.
