Thames River Composite Squadron is a member of the Connecticut Wing of Civil Air Patrol. Civil Air Patrol, or CAP, is the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force. It has been around since 1941, and provided air defense of the country during the second world war using small privately owned airplanes. Though we no longer provide that level of support to national security, we do provide assistance whenever a natural disaster occurs.

Both senior and cadet meetings are on Tuesday nights. Our cadet meetings start at 6 pm, and run until 8:30 pm. Senior meetings run from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Cadets are 12 to 21 years old, and seniors must be at least 18 years old.
