Several cadets and senior members attended the Quancet Point Air Show in R.I.

For some people the military aspect of CAP makes them a little uneasy. Because we are a civilian organization running on military principals, we have to make a few adjustments. Discipline cannot be as direct as the regular services approach it. One of our leadership aspects is to "praise in public, and discipline in private". Disciplinary measures include a brief talk with the first sergeant, or senior Commander for Cadets. No push-ups. Discipline is not a big problem in our squadron. One thing to note is that the people who dislike the military customs usually become the ones who are the best at them. If your goal in joining CAP is to fly, do not let the drill and military exterior be a reason for not joining.
