Civil Air Patrol is one of the organisations that is called in whenever a domestic emergency has occurred. Civil Air Patrol members can be qualified, through programs offered by us, CPR, First Aid, and ground team, (where you search for downed planes, lost hikers etc). Seniors can qualify to do air search and rescue, searching from airplanes, and directing ground teams. Civil Air Patrol has radio frequencies that require a CAP radio licence to operate, the class only takes about two hours, and can be completed by anyone who is willing to sit through the class. The class covers standard operating procedures for using the radios, goes over the phonetic alphabet, (A=alpha, b=bravo etc), and has a practice session..
